AFI FEST showcases the best films from around the world. The 2022 edition of the film festival will take place in-person in Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theatres from November 2-6. AFI FEST features 125 titles in categories such as Red Carpet Premieres, Special Screenings, Documentary, World Cinema, Discovery, Shorts, and a Showcase of AFI Conservatory films. This year’s Guest Artistic Director is Ava DuVernay. Of the official selections, 53% are directed by women, 32% are directed by BIPOC filmmakers and 11% are directed by LGBTQIA+ filmmakers.
