This piece was created for you to feel and embrace your Magic. Standing in the shadow of the Hollywood Sign, I thought about how the stunning colors created by an iconic Los Angeles sunset truly earn the name "magic hour." As a queer, black artist, I have always had to rely on a sense of magic in order to move through my life. Life is always trying to find a way to diminish this but I find magic in the history of the resilience of black people and in the tenacious beauty of nature. My work is always inspired by these two things and I hope you will find some inspiration as well.
